Why wear uniforms?

Why should we wear uniforms?Is it a part of our education.No, it just a way to look bored.no one wants to look like everyone else.I disagree with President Clinton's quote because teenagers don'
ever fight over designer jackets.Even if they did that is still not a reason to wear uniforms.Everyone wants to express themselves.Also your parents have to buy more than one uniform.They have to buy gym uniforms, dance uniform & regular uniforms.Forcing students to wear uniform is unfair.I think this mess is President Clinton fault because of the statement he made:I challenge all our schools to teach character education, to teach good values, and good citizenship. And if it means that teenagers will stop killing each other over designer jackets, then our public schools should be able to require their students to wear uniforms.

wearing uniforms are bad for many reasons. For examples wearing the same color, the same boring oufits can be really boring. Just looking at uniforms makes me sick.You want to wear your own pretty clothers, not what tell you what to wear. They're would not any violence ever if you wear uniforms or not.I have one thing to say"UNIFORMS ARE B-O-R-I-N-G.

In the story "First Impressions" There was this girl name Shawna, she told her she need to change her look. Patrice liked the way she was. Shawna told her if she does not change the way she is no one is giong to be her friend. Patrice through that you can not make friend by chan
ge who you are. Just be your self.

Therefore, I still don't think wearig uniforms can change all of this.I think President Clinton
Just want us to look dumb.

    Did you make the changes suggested on the peer revision sheet? I think your essay is very good and that you support your argument very well, but your argument could be even stronger. For instance, is there anything in the two articles we read that supports your argument that uniforms are boring? instead of just repeating the word boring, give the reader some examples!

    When you are writing, I also want you to pay extra attention to capitalization, punctuation, subject-verb agreement, complete sentences and your spelling. For example, look at your third paragraph and then look at my example. Can you see the changes?

    Assa's paragraph:

    "In the story "First Impressions" There was this girl name Shawna, she told her she need to change her look. Patrice liked the way she was. Shawna told her if she does not change the way she is no one is giong to be her friend. Patrice through that you can not make friend by change who you are. Just be your self."

    Mr. Enders's example:

    "In the story "First Impressions" there was a girl named Shawna who told her cousin Patrice that she needed to change the way she looked. Patrice liked the way that she looked already, and said that she wouldn't change, even though Patrice told her no one would be her friend if she didn't wear "cool" clothes. I agree with Patrice. Just like I don't need to wear a certain type of clothing to make people like me, I don't need to wear a uniform to make me a better student."

    Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Mr. Enders

    Meaning = 4
    Development = 3 (use more examples from the stories and explain them better)
    Organization = 3
    Language = 2 (too many spelling and grammar errors)
